Formation & Partnership
Nuclear Innovation North America LLC (NINA) was formed by NRG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: NRG) on February 28, 2008, as a Delaware limited liability company. Nuclear Innovation North America will market, site, develop, finance and invest in new advanced design nuclear projects in North America, including the planned new South Texas Project (STP) units 3&4. Toshiba Corp. has agreed to partner with NINA and will serve as the prime contractor on all projects.
